Aggregates
Aggregates are any collection of rocks and are classified as crushed stone, sand, gravel and slag. They are used in roads, bridges and sidewalks, which are made of concrete, which is mostly made up of aggregates combined with a binder that acts like a glue.
Backfill Materials
We carry a variety of these materials which are used to refill an excavated hole, and are typically used to strengthen and support a structure’s foundation while also assisting in better water drainage. Some common backfill materials are round stones like pea gravel and coarse-grained soil, which are mixed with both gravel and sand.
Concrete Sand
Concrete sand is a small stone composed of gneiss, granite rock or limestone. The quality is generally crushed and then washed to ensure there are no big pieces of rock in the sand. This sand has many uses, but is mostly used in asphalt and paving applications, or can be used as pipe bedding or paver base, and a leveling medium for under or above ground patios and pools.
Crushed Granite
This is an attractive material that can be used in a variety of ways for landscaping. Like other crushed stones and gravel, crushed granite is budget friendly so it’s ideal for projects that cover a large area. Since it’s not a solid surface, it drains extremely well and is easy to remove if you decide to do something different in that space.
Crushed Limestone
This is a sedimentary rock that has been pulverized for construction use and it comes in many different shapes and sizes, depending on what its intended use will be. It can be used as a base or as a filler material for various projects.
Crushed Quartzite Stone
This is an extremely durable crushed stone that is suitable for use in the most demanding applications due to its durability and abrasion resistance.
Driveway Aggregate
There are several materials commonly used for driveways – gravel, concrete and pavers – and we have all of these. Gravel is the most affordable option, but require more maintenance long-term. Concrete is another popular option and is durable with options for staining to give it that certain look you might be going for.
Erosion Control
This is necessary in order to prevent or control wind or water erosion. Effective erosion control is important to handle surface runoff in natural areas and agricultural settings.
Landscaping Aggregate
Aggregates are a great way to bring interesting textures and colors to any landscaping project. They can create walkways, but also help with drainage on your property. Gravel, stone and sand are just a few of the landscaping aggregates we carry.
Masonry or Mortar Sand
This is a workable paste that dries to hold blocks together such as stone, brick and concrete masonry units, and to fill and seal the gaps between them. Often times it is used to add decorative colors and patterns to masonry walls.
Pea Gravel
This gravel consists of small, rounded stones that are often used in concrete surfaces for walkways and driveways.
Road Base
This material has a base layer consisting of crushed stone and fine particles of sand which allow it to compact and hold its shape.
